OUR GOAL:

OUR GOAL IS TO USE OUR THREE PILLARS: STRENGTH, HEALTH AND COMMUNITY AND APPLY THEM TO OUR FITNESS PROGRAMMES

Community, I feel, could be the most important of the three. Whenever I hit a significant fitness goal in my life, it was never done alone. Yes, even a marathon. Because I could not have made it to the starting line without the help and support around me.

It is the one constant I have noticed in our Women’s Fitness sessions in Castleknock. It is not just the exercise programme, the variety of the workouts or having the accountability to push yourself. The relationships the ladies have formed with each other over the years have made it possible to hit the 10-year milestone in Castleknock.

Of course, emphasis on strength and health has also played a big part in that. Yes, sometimes you have to push hard in your training. And having a Coach will help you do that the right way and help you get the most out of your training, putting you on the fast track towards your fitness goals. But exercise and fitness should never be viewed as a form of punishment, even when it is challenging.

Our goal is to provide Strength, Health and Community in all aspects of Coach Seán Fitness. And through those pillars, we look forward to helping you achieve your fitness goals

Strength × Health × Community

“I joined Sean's class feeling very low physically and emotionally. I was also very skeptical that it would help because I had tried many types of exercise before and dropped off soon after starting. From the beginning Sean was encouraging and had much more faith in my ability than I had. After 6 months I was hooked. I had changed my lifestyle in small managable ways and I could not believe how well I was feeling. I hate to miss a class and always come away feeling great. Thank you Sean.”

“Thanks so so much for all your help over the last six weeks. I was dreading starting it because id never been to a gym before but honestly it was just great, you're a deadly trainer. The workouts were absolutely brilliant, I never thought I would ever be able to do anything like that. Thanks again!” - Ann-Marie, 6 Week Personal Training Challenge

”Sean was a constant support and always available to discuss any difficulties I had. Over the course of the challenge, I lost 6kg (96kg-90kg) and could have lost more had I been more strict with my diet. But the fact I could still enjoy my food and get great results was also a huge bonus!” - Conor, 6 Week Online Training Challenge

Marathon Strong

A 16-Week Strength Training Programme for Runners
Built for the road to Dublin Marathon 2025

Ready to Run Stronger, Not Just Longer?

20% of Dublin Marathon runners don’t make the starting line

Do everything you can to ensure that that is not you this year!

Marathon Strong is a 16-week gym-based strength training programme designed specifically for runners building toward the Dublin Marathon this October. It’s not about lifting heavier for the sake of it — it’s about building a body that supports your running, reduces injury risk, and holds up over marathon training and through the 42.2km in October.

Why Trust Me?

I’m Coach Seán — strength coach, runner, and co-host of the Any Given Runday Podcast, where I’ve had front-row seats to some of the best runners and coaches in Ireland over the past five years.

I’ve been running marathons since 2017 (with plenty of mistakes along the way so you don’t have to), and I’ve been working in the fitness industry since 2009 — with a degree in Strength & Conditioning and multiple high-level coaching certs under my belt, including training in the U.S.

But more importantly?
I love running, and I love the gym.

This programme is the result of years spent trying to balance both — and it’s the exact system I’m personally using for my own build to the Dublin Marathon this year.

The Real Problem Most Runners Face…

Most runners either:

  • Ignore the gym completely until something breaks

    OR

  • Follow random workouts that aren’t designed for what a runner’s body actually needs

That leads to:

  • Overuse injuries

  • Muscle imbalances

  • Poor posture

  • Weak glutes, hamstrings, and core

Sound familiar?

Marathon Strong is different — it focuses on the muscles runners tend to neglect, the movements that support your stride, and a training structure that works with your running plan, not against it.

You’ll train 2–3x a week, with no workouts over 45 minutes. It’s flexible. Effective. And built with real-life runners in mind.

What You Get When You Join

✅ A full 16-week gym programme, broken into 4 progressive blocks

✅ Delivered through the Coach Seán App — video demos, tracking, and progression built-in

Sync with Garmin, Apple Watch, or Fitbit to keep your running and gym work connected

✅ Access to the Marathon Strong Community 2025 — accountability, motivation, and the craic

Monthly Zoom check-ins to review progress and set goals

Bonus workouts for mobility, core, injury prevention and a few aesthetic touches too 😉

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

When motivation dips, or your schedule gets hectic, or that niggle starts to creep in — that’s when a support system makes the difference.

This isn’t just a programme — it’s a community. One with other runners aiming for the same start line as you. One where questions get answered. Where encouragement matters. Where you’re not doing this solo.

If you’ve ever run better with others, you already know how powerful that can be.

Only €79 For the Full Programme

That’s less than €5/week!

I know you’ve already spent money on the race, your gear, maybe even coaching.

And I know how “free” running adds up quickly.

But if this gets you to the start line feeling stronger, more confident, and less injury-prone, I’d say it’s the best value investment you’ll make this season.

And all for the nearly the cost of a weekly overpriced coffee in Dublin — you’ll get:

  • Expert-designed strength programming

  • Community coaching support

  • A clear structure that integrates with your running

  • Access to tools that help you stay consistent

🟢 This is the first-ever round of Marathon Strong.

🟢 I’ll be doing the full 16 weeks with you.

🟢 This launch price won’t be repeated.

FAQ - Click to see the answer:

I’m not great in the gym. Is this still for me?

Yes — 100%. You don’t need to be a gym rat or know every machine in the place. The programme is simple to follow, uses accessible equipment, and comes with full video demos inside the Coach Seán App.

How long do the sessions take?

Most sessions are under 45 minutes. You’ll be in and out without dragging your day out — but they’re structured to be effective and actually complement your running, not compete with it.

What equipment do I need?

If you train in a standard commercial or local gym, you’re covered. If you're training in a home gym setup and want modifications, just reach out and we’ll help adjust the exercises around what you have. This is NOT a bodyweight only programme

How does it fit with my running plan?

This plan is designed to support — not replace — your running. You’ll have 2–3 short strength sessions per week that can flex around your long runs, sessions, and recovery. You’ll also get guidance on how to adjust based on your training week.

What’s the Coach Seán App?

It’s where the full programme lives. You’ll get your sessions delivered straight to your phone, with demo videos, logging tools, and optional integrations for Garmin, Apple Watch and Fitbit. You’ll also find your community chat, bonus content, and Zoom call info in there.

What’s the community like?

Supportive, fun, and full of runners just like you — aiming for the same start line. Inside the app you’ll be able to check in, ask questions, share progress, and stay motivated across the 16 weeks. It makes a huge difference knowing others are in the same boat.

Is this a once-off payment or monthly?

Just a once-off payment of €79 gets you the full 16-week programme, app access, bonus content, coaching check-ins, and the community group.

When should I start?

Ideally Monday, July 7th! That will give you the full 16 weeks to build your strength base toward Dublin. Let’s make sure you hit race day feeling strong, not just hoping for the best.

I have more questions. Can I contact you?

Absolutely. Drop me a message via Instagram @coach_seanc .
