Chasing Fitness Goals and Body Image will Follow

To follow up on last week's "muscle confusion' newsletter. I did my 3-month progress pictures on Friday and talked about the changes to my training. The big takeaway from it, I hope, was that it was habits formed in previous challenges/nutrition plans I have done along with a consistency to training that helped me get progress over the last 3 months. And also, that I enjoyed my training.

If you are struggling to stay motivated to hit your fitness goals now, there's probably something you are not enjoying in your sessions. Don't get me wrong, I'm not grinning like a Cheshire cat on every exercise, set and rep I do. There are some things in my training plan I don't particularly enjoy doing. But, overall, I enjoy the process and I am not detesting the next meal I am eating, feeling like I'm depriving myself.

Anyone can make quick progress on any programme but it's the long term sustainability that matters.

And on that note, I'm wrapping up this blog as there was a little lack of sleep last night due to my stress levels being through the roof watching the 49ers game. But what a finish that once again went down to the last second (and if you hate the constant 49ers references, I would not recommend following me on Twitter!)
