Women in Sport - Any Given Runday Podcast Takeover

There's been a takeover at Any Given Runday Podcast as a previous guest, Rachael Smyth (@smythrachael), is launching a mini-series on our podcasts about Women in Sport.

Those of you who have listened to Rachael on the Any Given Runday podcast know that she is passionate about sport and we just can’t shut her up talking about it.

The upcoming series will focus on Women in Sport and we have a fantastic line up of guests in store for you. Girls in their teens are 3 times more likely to quit sport than their male counterparts, so we are delighted to be having this discussion and encouraging sport for everyone, at all levels.

On this week’s episode, Rachael Smyth (@smythrachael) interviews Paralympian Greta Streimikyte (@streimikytegreta_ ) as they discuss Greta’s Paralympian journey as well as the importance of a good training group, strength training in your running programme and a positive mindset.

Greta is a 1500m runner who represented Team Ireland in the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, the 2021 Games in Tokyo as well as winning Gold in the European Championships in Berlin in 2018 and Bronze in the 2016 European Championships in Italy.

We are thrilled to have Greta on the podcast this week as well as having Rachael take over the show for the weeks ahead.
